Refund policy

We hope you love your new My First Steps purchase, we trust the quality of the brands that we stock and aim to provide as much information as possible in our product descriptions to assist you in getting it right first time. If there is anything that you're not happy about or need assistance with then our customer service team is available to help resolve your issue. 


RETURNING AN ONLINE ORDER


Online orders are accepted up to 14 days after delivery. Item’s must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging and any costs associated to the return are the responsibility of the customer.

Any items returned to us are at your own risk and expense, so we recommend using a recorded service as My First Steps is not liable for the costs of lost items.
 

For convenience please note you can arrange a 'digital label less’ return through An Post, this cost is not covered by My First Steps;

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return questions at hi@myfirststeps.ie

You may also return an item bought online, physically in store, and it will be processed as an online order and is subject to the same terms as above.

Damages and issues

Each item is thoroughly checked before dispatch, however please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Exceptions / Non-returnable items


Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalised items).

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale/outlet items, gift cards, socks or tights.

 

European Union 14 day cooling off period


Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
 

Refunds


We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 5 business days. The refund amount will be the total amount paid for the items purchased (not including postage and packaging on non-faulty items). Each payment method has its own processing timescales for returns and My First Steps accepts no responsibility for these timescales. Refunds will always be processed through the website and no direct transfers will be made.

In store Purchases

 

Items purchased in store may be exchanged for an alternative product or credit note once accompanied by a proof of purchase and in a new, re-saleable condition within 14 days. 

Refunds are not issued, as supported under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
